Natural fibres, minerals, discarded everyday objects, and household items that have been foraged and reimagined for the creation of new artworks form the material basis for the works in Material Reverie. Eight artists, including Robert Brown, Teelah George, Dana Harris, Lou Hubbard, Shigemi Iwama, Cassie Leatham, Jahnne Pasco-White, and Louise Saxton, explore traditional weaving, sculpture, and carving techniques, alongside more contemporary approaches in design, collage, and painting, and give new meaning to otherwise overlooked remnants of human existence.
