At the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 18 to 21 May, Melbourne Design Fair sees more than 150 designers and over sixty exhibitors exploring the relationship between art and design and exposing the textured methodology between the two disciplines.
Organised during Melbourne Design Week, Melbourne Design Fair is Australia’s most extensive display of contemporary and twentieth-century collectable design by leading Australian and international practitioners, showcasing artists working at the intersection of art and design, with Brook Andrew, Alex Seton, James Lemon, Jay Jermyn, Nasim Nasr, Peter Cooley, Marta Figueiredo, and Meagan Streader, and others, leading the way in boundary-blurring art.
Highlights include the National Gallery of Victoria-curated presentations, DISCOVERY, dedicated to promoting and selling work by emerging designers and makers, and FOCUS, which brings attention to the work of five accomplished Australian female designers and makers.
