‘Metamorphosis’ by leading glass artist Tom Moore, is the 2016 Glencore Children’s Exhibition. With surreal vision, Moore explores the discord between natural and industrial worlds and the significance of environmental change on nature and its inhabitants.
Of these ideas Moore says, “One of my favourite themes is the triumph of nature over industry”.
The exhibition features a collection of glass-blown sculptures in the form of hybrid creatures that are peculiar, extraordinary and absurd. Each form is a bold and colourful fusion of plant, animal and mechanical elements. Also on show will be some of Moore’s works from the 2016 Adelaide Biennial.
