Michael Bell and Menno Fahl: KRAZY KUNST

For the past 11 months, Michael Bell and Menno Fahl have been swapping parcels of wood blocks by post between Newcastle and Berlin. Each artist has carved an image in response to the other. The wood blocks have travelled between the two countries many times before a satisfactory result has been decided upon. Some blocks have journeyed over 65,000km before being printed.

The exhibition ‘KRAZY KUNST’ features 50 multi-coloured wood block prints rich in humour and German Expressionist drama. Following the exhibition’s Sydney debut at The Hughes Gallery, ‘KRAZY KUNST’ travels to Berlin in 2013.
