Mike Parr explores glass as a sculptural medium in this continuous performative installation of ‘blind negative modelling’. With his sight obscured the artist arranged a series of glass heads over the ground floor space of the gallery and commenced drawing repetitive oval shapes in pastel on the wall, to create a net. The residual and broken pieces of pigment left in situ as part of the work. Parr’s investigation adds a new dimension to his historic ‘Self Portrait Project’.
