Miles Allen: Boxing Clever

Miles Allen continues his ongoing exploration into the use of a variety of materials and mediums to create geometrical artworks with lines and rhythms, in his 10th solo exhibition. Wooden boxes, used to transport and display fruit and vegetables in Europe, provide a material which lends itself to manipulation by cutting and dying and converting from their one-off use. He exploits the evidence left by past usage and other kinds of manipulation and handling to bring this material into another realm, another country and another public.
