New Sacred

In partnership with Parammatta Artists Studios, Mosman Art Gallery presents the work of nine mid-career artists who are currently residents or alumni of the Parramatta Artists Studios. Featuring the work of Adorned, Khadim Ali, Cigdem Aydemir, Keg de Souza, Mehwish Iqbal, Elena Papnikolakis, Marikit Santiago, Salote Tawale and Shireen Taweel, ‘New Sacred’ celebrates Australia’s multicultural identity with recent and newly commissioned works that explore cultural identity and storytelling by engaging with ritual, cultural tradition, folklore and narrative. The works are brought together by their conceptual content but varied by their media; ranging from installation, video and performance, to drawing, painting, photography and textiles.
