Durrmu Art Centre artists Regina Pilawuk Wilson, Anastasia Naiya Wilson, Annunciata Nunuk Wilson, Kathleen Korda, Margaret Kundu and Leah Wilson from the remote community of Peppimenarti located in the Northern Territory’s Daly River region gather for the premiere of ‘Ngerringkrretj’. New paintings, sculptures and works on paper showcase the remarkable artistic practice of these Peppi women. Focusing on cultural strengths and knowledge passed on by their mothers, grandmothers, aunties and sisters, these works are stories of resilience now, and from long ago.
