Nick Hall’s latest series explores how attitudes and behaviours inadvertently affect our living contexts and have consequences on our social, cultural and environmental landscape as near naked figures are placed in a domestic setting – the rumpus room – exposed to the conditions of their secure and insecure psychological states. Select subjects lounge about and gaze at images of flowery gardens and serene park lakes while others hide from the world in cardboard or tissue boxes, freakish pets playing and dreaming idyllically beside them.
