Disengaging from your social media newsfeeds is a good way to immerse yourself in new adventures, but it doesn’t mean you have to avoid all forms of contact. Before emails, Twitter updates and Facebook messages, postcards were the coolest mode of communication.
Considered a dying art, postcards are set for a revival with ‘Project Postcard’, a participatory art project baring a message of love through a bit of deltiological fun.
Create a postcard-sized artwork based around the theme of love, email it in, and after 5 January three designs will be selected to be printed onto postcards. The selection will then be made available to everyone to post out to friends and family all around Australia to share a bit of love through our mailboxes.
You’ll be participating in the act of sharing love and supporting locally produced art. That deserves two thumbs up!
Artwork specifications:
Postcard sized artwork 148mm x 105mm (minimum) of any medium emailed to us as any high-res file type (jpg, jpeg, tiff, etc, at a minimum screen resolution of 600 pixels).
There will be a $50 prize awarded to the three selected artworks.
