‘I Build My Time’ is Sally Smart’s first venture into time-based media and performance. Taking cues from shadow puppetry, Smart animates the cut-out elements from her assemblage work through stop-motion animation and film.
‘I Build My Time’ continues Smart’s process of mapping, drawing, construction, assemblage and choreography that explores the role of women in contemporary societies from vast cultural backgrounds.
