Splitting his time between Perth, Italy, and Venice, street/visual artist Stormie Mills is known for whimsical, thought-provoking characters created from a restricted black, white, grey, and silver colour palette.
Having discovered spray painting and painting in the streets in 1984, Mills creates characters that draw on a deep sense of isolation yet seemingly carrying a message of hope; these opposing elements imbue the artist’s characters with a humanity and palpable presence that captures something of the tenderness of the human condition.
