Collaborators Natasha Anderson and Sarah Pirrie – together known as Stray – used observations and material data collected from a mangrove boardwalk at Fannie Bay to create a strange parallel environment.
It’s a third space, somewhere between the framed cultural sites of the gallery. Replication and interpretation through visual, aural and sculptural mediums bring to light differing densities and concentrations in the site’s components. Both an environmental and experiential artwork, ‘Hidden’ seeks an understanding of officially framed and ‘natural’ boundaries.
