Tina Havelock Stevens: Thunderhead

In ‘Thunderhead’, Tina Havelock Stevens presents a series of video works accompanied by improvised sound scores – guitar riffs and drum beats, sometimes recorded, sometimes performed live – that elicit emotional responses attuned to the rhythm and movement of the built and natural environments that we encounter. Stevens is drawn to spaces and landscapes poised between decay and survival. Works depict boneyards where stripped carrier planes are left to weather, as well as wrong turns and chance encounters with meteorological systems on desert highways, and public acts of homage.
