The ‘Wall to Wall Festival’ has elevated the small Victorian township of Benalla to the ranks of a regional street art capital with local, national and international artists creating new murals on public walls, some over three-storeys high, from 9 to 12 March.
Take a guided tour around the city and view the works of Guido van Helten, Adnate, Rone, DVATE, Sirum and Kaff-eine, to name a few; stumble upon temporary, inflatable sculptures by Anthony Lister, or visit Benalla Art Gallery’s ‘Born on the Street’ exhibition. Additional highlights include a moonlight cinema, two new satellite sites on nearby silos at Goorambat and Devenish, as well as a virtual reality component simulating what it feels like to be a street artist.
