Guest curated by Danni Zuvela, ‘WATER RITES’ examines our relationship to the world’s most valuable commodity: water. The exhibition positions water as a non-human agent through various vessels and acts, giving voice to water, its rhythms, needs and desires. ‘WATER RITES’ brings together new and recent work – from Tasmanian bull kelp, large-scale sculptures, and installation to a durational performance involving salt, heat and sweat – by First Nations artists such as Libby Harward, Archie Moore, Mandy Quadrio, and artists from the Barngarla community in Port Lincoln and Port Augusta.
