What’s That Skip?

Satirical and serious, What’s That Skip?, through various mediums, examines the ‘roo and its many representations: as a national symbol of economy and pride, appearing on currency and the nation’s coat of arms, a televised cultural icon, tourist souvenir, the animal as social and political activist, and so on.

Curated by Miriam Williamson and Leah Haynes, the exhibition features work by artists Blak Douglas, Maddison Gibbs, Gordon Hookey, Ian Milliss, Mai Nguyen-Long, Chris O’Doherty (Reg Mombassa), Reko Rennie, Joan Ross, and Jason Wing, to name a few.
