In her first solo exhibition in Melbourne, Ballarat-based artist Amanda Western presents a series of linocut prints exploring the threshold spaces that quietly shape our lives – laneways and tree-lined roads, weathered paths through bush or city.
Mapping ecological and emotional pathways, and drawing from both rural and urban settings, these often-overlooked passages hold memories of those who move through them. With spaces mapped in intricate detail, each mark treated as a form of care, Ways Through asks how we find connection and renewal in places we pass through.
