Ildiko Kovacs: Tectonics

Sydney-based artist Ildiko Kovacs is known for visually striking abstractions. Shown is an energetic, spiralling fluid flow of vivacious lines, competing colours, and deeply tactile textures that articulate the explosive ‘push-pull’ layered, tectonic tensions at play – upon, through, and within Kovacs’ visual explorations of the physical and metaphysical.

Kovacs’ work captures our fragility in a dynamic universe, revealing an artist who is both explorer and storyteller; capturing the need to live with and accept uncertainty – things that lie beyond our control, or even comprehension.
