As a collaborator in this major international project, the Samstag Museum will be presenting the work of Susan Hiller (USA/UK), Paul Laffoley (USA), Ra di Martino (Italy) and Katie Paterson (UK).
For over 50 years, Paul Laffoley’s paintings, models and journals have consistently defied easy art historical categorisation. Hiller’s work often explores the repressed permeability of certain prized cultural constructs such as rationality and consciousness, aesthetic value and artistic canons. Paterson’s work constantly references intangible, natural phenomena, while di Martino’s film, video installations and photos have been included in numerous exhibitions worldwide.
