Emilio Cresciani: Remains of the day

Willoughby’s Walter Burley Griffin designed Incinerator Art Space lights up with new photographs of rubbish by Emilio Cresciani. Cresciani is an emerging artist, having recently graduated from the Sydney College of the Arts.

This exhibition presents detailed photographs of different types of waste including tyre rims, circuit boards, hair dryers, cans, bullet casings, TVs, wires, internet cables and the other remains of our modern consumer lifestyle. The shredded, squashed, cubed, jumbled and melted waste creates fascinating patterns and colour that are the focus of Cresciani’s work as a result of visiting waste centres, tips and landfill sites.
