‘SPRING1883’ will transform the grand heritage Hotel Windsor in the heart of Melbourne into a national art event with a strong overseas presence during Melbourne’s Art Week.
Recasting the traditional art fair model, ‘SPRING1883’ will showcase contemporary art by early, mid-career and senior contemporary artists presented in the ambience of the hotel’s old-world charm. Artworks in a range of mediums will be exhibited in guest rooms; hung on walls, arranged on beds, installed in bathrooms, and on furniture.
