Assonances. Bruno Leti: new paintings and prints
Nicholas Thompson Gallery

Bruno Leti’s devotion to the experience of landscape and passage of time is enriched by ‘historic consciousness’ and is core to his poetic non-figurative approach. In ‘Assonances’, which paralleled a recent exhibition of new work, we see the material outcome of these concepts; layers of sombre tones are interlaced with delicate hues. Leti explains, ‘I enact time in these works in their manner of making: repeated and continuous meticulous strokes of the brush’. An essay by Sasha Grishin and forward by Nicholas Thompson complement the artist’s voice in this text.
