‘EXCHANGE’ showcases the works of contemporary South African artists Barbara Wildeboer, Louis Jansen van Vuuren and Marna Hattingh.
Hattingh’s painted characters enact everyday gestures in a play of daydreams and flights of fantasy that form a series of narrative constellations. Her drawings combine both physical gestures and a very direct way of visualising thoughts. Her narrative content is immediate and personal – a journey of the imagination.
