The Alice Art Prize is one of Australia’s oldest art awards spanning more than five decades. The Prize was inaugurated in 1970 by a group of volunteers and businessman Bernie Kilgariff with the vision to bring contemporary art to Central Australia. For The 42nd Alice Art Prize exhibition, Alice Springs Art Foundation presents a vibrant showcase of works by fifty-eight finalists selected from 531 entries, including this year’s winner Adrian Jangala Robertson and his painting Family in Yalpirakinu.
