‘Landscape of the Soul’ is a Bundanon Trust touring exhibition of works by one of Australia’s most renowned artists, Arthur Boyd. With a curatorial focus on landscape, curator Barry Pearce brings 60 paintings, including masterpieces from state art museums, together with a collection of the artist’s works on paper, letters, photographs and sketchbooks, and unseen works from Boyd’s teenage years, offering insight to Boyd’s extraordinary understanding of landscape as subject, and the deep personal connection he felt with the land.
