Carla and Lisa Wherby: Rock ‘n’ Roll – the Best Years of Our Lives

This exhibition documents significant moments in Australian music history, while simultaneously documenting moments in the lives of the artists, from childhood stories told by their father who worked at EMI records, singles and card collections he bought for them.  It showcases highlights from their experience with ‘Countdown,’ shown on ABC TV and Australian bands who played at the many Sydney venues that existed in the 1970s and 1980s.

‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ presents a collection of the sisters’ photos, assemblages, drawings, paintings and memorabilia that pay homage to the music industry, musicians and events they attended.
