With a career spanning almost three decades, leading South Australian glass artist Clare Belfrage has been announced as the 2018 JamFactory Icon for her detailed glass sculptures that marry blown forms with intricate line work.
This solo exhibition showcases Belfrage’s innovation of the ‘stringer’ technique in which she painstakingly applies stretched glass rods known as ‘stringers’ to her glass, creating a mesmerising surface that resembles textiles. The exhibition will tour to ten venues nationally after its display in Adelaide.
