Inspired by time spent on the isolated West Coast of Tasmania, in awe of the sheer size and vastness of the great body of water that extends from the Tasmanian coast to the coast of South America, a stretch of ocean where no land mass sits between; Clifford How seeks to interpret the euphoria of “standing on the precipice of the edge of the world and appreciating this scoured yet delicate coastline” with a series of emotive paintings made for Takayna – Original Earth.
