Complex Matter presents recent works by a group of artists that engage the act of process to investigate the temporal, spatial and material potentialities that are held in the world around them. Across video, installation, drawing and sculpture, these works offer up a series of complex objects and situations that appear to be caught in the midst of a process. Here, each artist touches on notions of complexity and how these can manifest as a state of ‘becoming’; emphasising interaction, interdependence and synergy. Featuring work by Jeremy Bakker, Craig Burgess, Scott Morrison and Eva-Maria Raab, curated by Britt Salt.
