Connie Augoustinos: Keramos

The hand-built ceramic works of Connie Augoustinos focus on qualities of scale, form and surface and are informed by her Greek heritage and recent residency on the island of Skopelos. In this first solo-show Augoustinos traces sculptural traditions, including coiling and pinching methods, which originated in ancient times. Her choice of fleshy and pearlescent pink and white glazes point to the female nude and Aegean, or South Australian shorelines.
