New Norfolk-based artists Mish Meijers and Tricky Walsh use geometric shapes, rounded ceramics, and poetry to pay homage to many whose significant contributions and sacrifices have shaped our history yet gone unnoticed. This installation “reminds us that we are standing on the shoulders of millions of others and the things they’ve done for us,” said Walsh.
An explosion of colour celebrates their labours. “A bit of a punch in the face,” adds Meijers, “like turning a corner and seeing a party at the end of the street that you want to join.”
