Ray Monde: The Places That Shape Us

Braidwood-based artist Ray Monde is known for his fascination with paper, working across a variety of mediums including collage, drawing, multimedia, and painting.

In The Places That Shape Us, through large-scale paper sculptural forms Monde examines queer lived experiences in regional Australia, weaving his own memories with those of his collaborators and peers. Through immersive collages, shaped in conversation with artists such as Nell, Todd Fuller, and Prue Hazelgrove, the artist explores the emotional landscape of growing up different in the country.
