Vladimir Gottwald & Kate Shaw: Nature Speaks

An exhibition of naturally sculpted limestone, sculptor Vladimir Gottwald searched for black limestone in locations near Burrinjuck Dam, New South Wales. Sharing similarities to human and animal forms and emotional expressions, Gottwald finds and perceives the magic in the stones then presents these so they can be appreciated by the viewer.

Offering a counterpoint to Gottwald’s stone sculptures is Kate Shaw’s five-metre-long drawing, Lifelines and Detours, 2026, a graphite and pigment on paper work responding to the environment, the building, and community space.
