Unbound: Books Reimagined

A book contains words and information on pages, bound together and protected by a cover. This exhibition challenges this perception through two types of books: artists’ books, works of art that utilise the book form (altered, animated, concertina, illustrated, sculptural), and pop-up books containing three-dimensional features activated with pull tabs, tunnels and flaps or by opening a page.

Enter new worlds of animals and creatures, history and geography, literature and fiction, science, technology and space, and TV and movie genres – each rendered into intricate and inventive dioramas.
