Citing influences as wide ranging as 80s pop-rock androgyny to medieval heraldry, Whitworth is not an artist scared to take risks or challenge the viewer.
With his signature neon colours he embarks on using his well-established skills of penmanship to bravely tackle the more traditional genres of abstracts and still lives whilst retaining the quirky and queer style that has proved such a hit with buyers and critics in the past. ‘A Queer Aesthetic’ is part of the GBLTQI Mardi Gras Arts Festival.
