Inhabiting the Trace

Inhabiting the Trace is an exhibition of printed works by Indigenous artists, including Peter Cameron, Paddy Carlton, Queenie McKenzie, Brett Nannup, Laurel Nannup, Lena Nyadbi, Ngarralja Tommy May, and Mervyn Street; alongside 27 prints in The Berndt Etching Series, 2008, by artists from the Northern Territory’s Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Centre, which were made in response to the 1946–1947 Yirrkala crayon drawings.

Curated by Palyku woman Jessyca Hutchens, the exhibition reveals the rich history and collaborative nature of printmaking. Presented by Berndt Museum.
