For over 150 years, the gallery has been collecting portraits of the rich and famous, the powerful, the lovable, and the inspirational, alongside historical luminaries like the Brontë sisters, Charles Dickens, and Lord Nelson, and changemakers such as Nelson Mandela and Malala Yousafzai.
