Jill Darville: Against the wreckful siege of battering days

Jill Darville honours the animals in our lives, with a particular interest in dogs in warfare and how they have played an integral role in this aspect of our history. Demonstrating resilience, understanding and empathy in the exploration of this subject, drawing sensitivity and restraint from her own and other’s experiences of trauma, the artist pays tribute to our canine comrades and brings to the surface the idea that love can transcend pain and create bonds that bind forever.
