Melbourne-based multi-media artist Josh Muir draws inspiration for his practice from hip-hop and street art culture. He shares times of struggle and moments of joy with a series of self-portraits suspended from the ceiling of the Koorie Heritage Trust gallery. Created especially for this exhibition these new works printed on aluminium continue Muir’s journey of self-exploration and present a kaleidoscopic layering of vibrant colours, shapes and symbols, displayed alongside his immersive wallpaper, neon installation and three-channel animation.
