Marisa Ho: Mother is She

Marisa Ho presents a profoundly personal self-portrait in her exploration of Motherhood and the discovery of this new identity through still life, portraiture and performative photography in ‘Mother is She’.

‘This series is an expression of my feeling of loss of identity, and the sense of disquiet with the new identity that has been re-assigned to me,’ says Ho. ‘This work captures the entangled mix of love, suffocation, connection, isolation, the loss of identity, and the general madness of my Motherhood.’
