Metaverse is a group exhibition curated by Patrice Sharkey exploring what it means on a human-level to be shaped and governed by the power and compelling nature of the Internet. Works by Giselle Stanborough, Roy Ananda, and others anticipate dystopian futures in response to our increasingly inescapable relationship with technology, and Facebook’s vision to build the “metaverse” – an online environment where our real and virtual worlds become more seamlessly integrated, drawing us deeper within its realms.
