SECCA (South East Centre for Contemporary Art) is a new space for art, culture and ideas in the heart of Bega, New South Wales, recently (re)opened following the completion of a major redevelopment and expansion of the thirty-year-old site formerly known as Bega Valley Regional Gallery.
SECCA has doubled its original footprint to include a multi-purpose project and workshop space, new exhibition rooms, and archive and storage areas to house its expanding public collection. This allows SECCA to create accessible, dynamic and relevant exhibition, education and collection programs; delivering an intellectual and artistic exchange of ideas aiming to transgress and perforate existing boundaries and to connect the community with the best local and global contemporary visual culture.
