Liveworks Festival 2024 | Live art, experimentation and celebration

Performance Space’s flagship festival of live art and performance returns to Carriageworks, Sydney – spanning dance, music, theatre, installation, experimentation and celebration from 23 to 27 October 2024.

This year’s festival features a program reflecting on moments of precarity we find ourselves in and if we can find a way through. Artists explore how we practice care and intimacy, hold each other in collapse, find release and joy in unexpected places, and the power of small actions to make big changes. See and experience an interactive reimagined contemporary gathering of light, colour, projected image and ecstatic dancing bodies, inspired by First Nations stories of the dancing Brolga; an endurance-based dance work set to a booming techno album; a suspended figure using body weight to counterbalance a log; and a crying room.
