The title of this show ‘Tjupi Taanu’ describes, “the explosion of honey bursting from a honey ant”, says gallery Director Dallas Gold, “the current body of work is celebration of the great works bursting from Papunya Tjupi.”
Artists whose style has developed from the Papunya Tjupi tradition include, Tilau Nangala, Beyula Puntungka Napanangka, Maureen Poulson Napangardi, Mary Roberts Nakamarra, Doris Bush Nungarrayi, Candy Nelson Nakamarra, Isobel Gorey and Charlotte Phillipus Napurrula.
