Trembling Man: Two Artists and a Poet

“I am the trembling man. I tremble therefore I am.” – Paolo Totaro

Juliet Homes à Court and Ruth Levine respond to Australian poet, Paolo Totaro’s latest collection of poems. Memory and presence, the known and unknown are sources of inspiration for this combined arrangement of painting, drawing and vessels. An event to support the Shake it Up Foundation for Parkinson’s disease will include readings by Totaro, talks by the artists, and launch of ‘Trembling Man’ – a book of poems and artworks.

Trembling man
I am the trembling man.
I tremble therefore I am.
If the diagnosis is correct
will a Doppler effect
be my fuzzy main trait?
Slow but secure
I shall become a blur
a blear a mist a haze
and people will amaze
because, trembling man,
alone I know where I am.
