Emerging artist Jess Miller and established artist Rachel Riggs articulate the female experience with a unified body of work in the exhibition RIGGS & MILLER. Explored themes of feminism, fetishisation, gender roles, and societal equality challenge the male gaze while surveying the current landscape of female equality in contemporary society.
Oil paintings and ceramic sculptures by Miller envision female figures within domestic settings, isolated from their external environments, and Riggs’ works identify the social history of women through mixed media, including vintage papers, objects, and other materials.
