A recent honours graduate of the Adelaide Central School of Art, Chew paints portraits that deal with ideas of identity and the construction of image. Her work discusses the role of adornment, such as make up and body modifications, as a means of expression.
Chew works predominantly in oil paint, relying on its material richness to draw viewers in to explore a world of unique individuals, revealing their inner worlds and identities.
