What makes a successful artist tick? In this uplifting exhibition, seasoned artists such as Dean Bowen, Philip Davey, Pamela Irving, Amy Kennedy, Jo Reitze and Wayne Viney give sage advice to their very serious younger selves and, in turn, to current emerging artists. These notable Victorian-based artists’ words or works of wisdom reveal intriguing recollections and gained knowledge. ‘Sage Advice to the Serious Young Artist’ features early and more recent paintings, photographs, sculpture, text and mixed media provided by the artists and drawn from the Whitehorse Art Collection.
