In its second year, Sculptures in the Garden promises an exciting array of sculptures, with all proceeds going to the Mudgee Support Group of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and a local arts initiative to create a sculpture walk in Mudgee’s Lawson Park.
The event will combine garden design and art, in the stunning rural setting of ‘Rosby,’ with over 100 sculptures and outdoor works by well known NSW artists including John Dahlsen, Lea Ferris, Alec Gill, Karen Herring, Roshelle McKillop, Ludwig Mlcek, Brett Nutting, Al Phemister, Margot Stephens, Nigel White and many more.
All works will be for sale, as well as plants and local produce from many Mudgee businesses. Over two days there will be a Wearable Art Competition and Parade, an artist led sculpture walk each day, a garden walk conducted by Sandy Pratten, morning and afternoon tea as well as boxed lunches and children’s activities.
The inaugural event last year was a resounding success, with over 1000 visitors and 130 sculptures. This year’s event looks to be even bigger – so head to ‘Rosby’, Mudgee on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October.
Entry is $5.00; children enter for free.
